Fundraising for Silver Fox Dog Rescue

A group of year 9 students have been raising money for Silver Fox dog rescue over the last two weeks of term one.

Silver Fox rescues and rehabilitates dogs from the UK and Europe. Tutor group 9I set out to raise £200 to provide a new start for a Bulgarian puppy that had been abandoned on the streets. Students from 9I went around all tutor groups in the school and raised awareness of a cause they had become passionate about and collected donations. Staff and students were able to donate money to place a suitable name into a random draw and the charity agreed to refrain from naming her in the meantime.

This has allowed many of the students involved to complete two of the 30 pledges suggested in this year’s whole school initiative. Due to their fantastic efforts we were able to raise £210 and provide Silver Fox with the beautiful name Lola.
