Club Correze

Students enjoy a trip to the South of France at half term

During the May half term forty four students and five members of staff embarked on the second sports activity trip to Club Correze in the south of France. All the students arrived on time and we made excellent time to Dover to catch over late evening crossing to Calais. Once we arrived in France students and staff alike caught up on some much needed sleep and we enjoyed the smooth bus journey all the way to Club Correze.

Once we arrived there it was straight onto a nature walk around the lakes and through the woods to build up an appetite for dinner. Every evening the students would take part in team activities burning off any excess energy before bed.

Throughout the week the students took part in a range of activities including, mountain biking, river gauge walking, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, target sports and of course the high ropes (which were a little higher than some students expected). It was fantastic to see the students challenging themselves and helping each other.

The weather was outstanding all week as well the students' behaviour, I cannot speak highly enough of the manner in which they all conducted themselves throughout the week, and they were a credit to you all.

I would like to thank the parents/guardians for your support and all the students who came on the trip and I hope they will cherish the fun memories when they look back at their time at Severn Vale.

I would also like to thank Miss O’Neil, Miss Hemmings, Mr Hoult and Mr Hunte who all helped make the trip a great success.

Many Thanks
