Exam Results 2026

The school is celebrating its best ever results as the class of 2026 deliver a stunning set of GCSEs
Our students, their families and our staff are celebrating a record-breaking set of exam results at Severn Vale with:
- 50% of students achieving a grade 5 or above in English and Maths
- 71% of students achieving a grade 4 or above in English and Maths
As they picked up their results this morning, it was a real pleasure to see so many smiling faces.
As always, there have been some amazing individual performances with students achieving a collection of the very highest grades. This included:
- Mozan Mustafa – 6 x 9; 4 x 8
- Mia Saunders – 6 x 9; 3 x 8
- Hunter Longden Thurgood – 7 x 9; 1 x 8 and 1 x 7
- Ellie-May Storer – 2 x 9; 6 x 8; 1 x 7
- Farha Ahmad – 3 x 9; 4 x 8; 1 x 7 and 1 x 6
It was also fantastic to see that two of our Sports Science students, Olivia Huxley and Ben Seville, were identified by their exam board as being amongst the top performers in England in that subject!!
We also saw some fantastic performances from students who faced incredible challenges across Key Stage 4 and who demonstrated remarkable fortitude and resilience, including Andrew Radziievskyi who joined the school from Ukraine speaking little English, and who is now leaving with 10 GCSEs all at grade 4 and above!
Headteacher Richard Johnson said:
“I am incredibly proud of the class of 2026. They have been an absolute joy to work with over the past 5 years and it came as no surprise to see them deliver a truly stunning set of results. This group of young people have consistently demonstrated great positivity, humour and a burning ambition to be their best. It is fantastic to see their hard work pay off and to see them deliver the best results the school has ever achieved.
Our school’s ambition is to empower all to achieve and it has been a pleasure to celebrate the very many individual successes, including numerous students who have overcome significant challenges to get to the next stage of their education. Together, these results show what is possible when hard work and determination is combined with the fabulous teaching and support staff we have at Severn Vale School.
We now bid a fond farewell to the class of 2026 as they move on to a variety of Sixth Forms, Colleges and Apprenticeships. Given the great foundation they have achieved at Severn Vale, I know they will go on to make their mark in the world and wish them all the very best.
Our focus as a school now turns to ensuring that next year’s results are even better!”
