Bloodhound Rocket Car Trials

12 Year 9 students represent Severn Vale in the heats for the Bloodhound Rocket Car Trials

On a warm Tuesday March afternoon 12 Year 9 students represented Severn Vale School in the heats for the Bloodhound Rocket Car Trials held a Crypt School. The task was to take a block of foam and to create a rocket powered car it so it can reach the highest top speed. They cut and shaped their model in the tech department and put the finishing touches on at home.

The students performed exceptionally well given the very short time frame to design, build and shape their car. In fact Ciara's and Yasmin's went so fast it broke the safety cable. We are waiting for the results but we must have been close to winning.
