Grade F point 6 – 12 £19,698 - £22,183 (Full-time equivalent), per annum, qualified

Grade D point 3 – 6 £18,562 - £19,698 (Full-time equivalent) per annum, unqualified


Severn Vale School is an Academy which provides an inclusive secondary education for students aged 11-16, that delivers strong student outcomes through high quality teaching and outstanding pastoral care.  The school is proud of its inclusive credentials and, in an area that has retained selection, subscribe instinctively to the comprehensive ideal. We are a popular and over-subscribed 11-16 academy, having recently undergone an exciting build project to enable an increase in pupil admission numbers from 235 to 265 on entry, which will increase the school size from 1175 to 1325 over five years.   


We are seeking to recruit a teaching assistant to work across our Inclusion Department in the Social Inclusion Unit and Gateway Centre.


The role is to support the learning and achievement of young people who access our Inclusion Department for a variety of reasons and includes those with Behavioural, Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

We are looking for an individual who is looking to make a difference and have the ability to gain trust from students.


To be considered for this teaching assistant post the successful applicant should:

  • Have a relevant qualification linked to learning and supporting students
  • Have a passion to help students achieve their full potential
  • Be adaptable and have the ability to build relationships with young learners
  • Have experience of working with challenging young people and raising achievement


The position in the Inclusion Department is 32.5 hours per week, 6.5 hours per day. The post is term time only including inset (39 weeks).
