Well-being Practitioner, Severn Vale School

Grade H – Points 14-25  (£28624 - £35235 FTE:  £14,939 - £18389 pro rata, (pay award pending))
Permanent part-time contract:  22.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time + inset)

We are looking for an empathetic and dedicated Wellbeing Practitioner to join our Wellbeing Team at Severn Vale School. The successful candidate will provide professional support to students experiencing emotional, social, and mental health challenges. As a key part of our Wellbeing Team, you will deliver one-to-one sessions, group sessions, help with crisis management, and promote mental health awareness across the school community.

The successful applicant will hold a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 3 or above certificate in counselling) OR have experience working in a mental health/wellbeing setting with children or adults.  You will have experience working with children and adolescents, demonstrating effective interpersonal, organisational and administrative skills. You will have a clear understanding of the challenges faced by young people including the impact of social media, family dynamics, and peer relationships.
